CHAINS

Some chains I wear gladly
Watching them shine in the light.
Some chains I wear sadly
Wet and green with age.
Some chains I wear proudly
Holding them high overhead.
Some chains I will not wear.
Twisting and turning
Pushing and pulling
Shouting and screaming
Until I melt
And slip
Effortlessly
Out.
