Park Maintenance

Dandelions raise their heads to the sun
Daisies nod in the breeze
Insects hover, darting at the pollen
Leaves push jubilantly through the grass
Creatures scamper and slither in their shade.

With a roar, the blades come from nowhere
Chopping and cutting
Slicing and shredding
Ripping and tearing.

When all that is left is silence
A satisfied voice says,
“There, it’s tidy now.”
