>Hi Ju,

Hi!

>Well it's all a little flat now I e-mailed you on Sunday with 'the morning after' but was unable to send it. My thoughts lie in the outbox ready to send when I get there again.

LOL - I'll look forward to reading them! I hope that you have got my emails now too, although I guess today's has crossed (again!).

>Anyway, I am quite happy with the way things turned out. The structure still stands, even with its slow leak. The feet although replaced are broken yet again. I saw some children walking on them, but found that the thought of them having fun/interaction far outweighed their artistic merit, and left them to it.

I'm with you there! Did you put the cast of my foot into it yet? I enjoyed doing it, but I quite like the idea of it getting smashed to smithereens, though preferably by a girl!

>I've been watching folks looking at the fount, many did as they passed through the cloister area. I think the size and siting of the piece right on.

Good, so do I!

>I managed to chat to a few people and answered questions, they seemed very interested.

What do they ask?

>The whole experience has left me rather stunned, yes I've enjoyed it, there's been things I'd have done differently and there's been a great deal I wouldn't missed for the world, many of these were aside things. The whole experience has enriched my life and helped me to grow in a variety of ways.

Me too . . .

>I have met so many interesting people, from coast-to-coast walkers, to medieval entertainers, gardeners to artists, great.

I can't say that it's had the same effect on my life, but I did meet loads of people when I was in Helsinki, so don't feel too envious.

>Would I do it all again, yes, but not this week.

LOL :-)

>Like you I am very tired at the mo. and see from your e-mail that you are too, you do seem to have such a busy life at the best of times, Tim told me about the rowdies at the station.

It wasn't such a nightmare as coming up, actually, when I was stuck on the platform at Leeds with no way of finding a member of staff to get me into the lift and thus out of the station, with the result that I was nearly in tears by the time I got out of the station twenty minutes later and finally met Liz. As I had Tim with me on Saturday evening, it didn't matter that the customer help desk was the wrong side of the ticket barrier, or that they'd lost the booking for assistance. I admit that I could have done without the football fans surrounding me all the way home, though, or the 20 minute delay in setting off, or the further delay for dead lifestock on the line . . .

>How do you manage to pace yourself.

Absolutely no social life when I'm this busy unless it relates to work . . . it's not at all what I want, but I've got such huge debts from doing a PhD without a grant and then having no work and no benefits that a social life is a luxury that I just can't afford at the moment . . .

>The short time that we spent together has already become a little blurred within the events of the weekend and weeks since the beginning of the project.

I've just been re-reading all of the emails from the beginning, and feel more like a character in a story than ever . . .

>As we had so little time alone together I think it helped us bypass a lot of life's trivia.

As did communicating via email. I must say that I was really surprised that we didn't need to use our private email facility at all, as no disputes or heavy emotional crap arose.

>I hope, no I will make it so that we will meet again. I go to London about twice a year to see my mum and would love to see you on your own patch.

Before Christmas, hopefully :-)

>So what now? A little time to let things settle and then a time of evaluation.

And as I've already said, hopefully another "touching" session and some more pix first . . .

>So for now I'll leave you to your thoughts and photos, I've seen Jim's, great.

Good, cos they're now on the website (I've been tarting it up and adding links back all afternoon.)

>I'll be using the internet here now, with a feeling of going full circle. I've just got some books on goddesses out of the library, lots on Bridget.

Is there?! I've only got the Merlin Stone story - can you photocopy me some?

Finding the Brigantes connection was so *weird*, wasn't it? Anyway, I really like the way that we've feminised the site and added its prehistory back in there.

>Now it's time to get my brain working again.

I thought it had already been in overdrive!

>I do hope that people out there have got something out of our work and experiences. For me the experiences

P.S. By the way becky took some pics of the font at night, I'll see how they turn out when i get the film  back.

Great, looking forward to seeing them!

Take care, and looking forward to hearing from you again - I'll miss you next week!

Love
