How was it for you?

Hi Ju,

Well it's all a little flat now I e-mailed you on Sunday with 'the morning after' but was unable to send it. My thoughts lie in the outbox ready to send when I get there again.

Anyway, I am quite happy with the way things turned out. The structure still stands, even with its slow leak. The feet although replaced are broken yet again. I saw some children walking on them, but found that the thought of them having fun/interaction far outweighed their artistic merit, and left them to it. I've been watching folks looking at the fount, many did as they passed through the cloister area. I think the size and siting of the piece right on. I managed to chat to a few people and answered questions, they seemed very interested.

The whole experience has left me rather stunned, yes I've enjoyed it, there's been things I'd have done differently and there's been a great deal I wouldn't missed for the world, many of these were aside things. The whole experience has enriched my life and helped me to grow in a variety of ways. I have met so many interesting people, from coast-to-coast walkers, to medieval entertainers, gardeners to artists, great. Would I do it all again, yes, but not this week.

Like you I am very tired at the mo. and see from your e-mail that you are too, you do seem to have such a busy life at the best of times, Tim told me about the rowdies at the station. How do you manage to pace yourself.       The short time that we spent together has already become a little blurred within the events of the weekend and weeks since the beginning of the project. As we had so little time alone together I think it helped us bypass a lot of life's trivia. I hope, no I will make it so that we will meet again. I go to London about twice a year to see my mum and would love to see you on your own patch.

So what now? A little time to let things settle and then a time of evaluation. So for now I'll leave you to your thoughts and photos, I've seen Jim's, great. I'll be using the internet here now, with a feeling of going full circle. I've just got some books on goddesses out of the library, lots on Bridget. Now it's time to get my brain working again. I do hope that people out there have got something out of our work and experiences. For me the experiences

P.S. By the way Becky took some pics of the font at night, I'll see how they turn out when I get the film back.

Rita.
