Hearing Aid Jewellery
Colette Hazelwood with Mickey Fellows and Ali Briggs

Collette's hearing aid jewellery for Ali Briggs celebrates the fact that Ali wears a hearing aid rather than attempting to hide it. Thin filaments of blue nylon, adorned with small beads at their ends, protrude outwards from the hearing aid (which fits behind the ear), forming a prominent half-circle. A dangly earring, intended for Ali's other ear, is decorated with the same strands of filament and beads, but these are much shorter than those protruding from the hearing aid.

Meanwhile Collette's armpiece for Mickey Fellowes is a futuristic-looking bracelet, made of silver metal computer components strung on white nylon.

Within the exhibition, the jewellery is displayed on neon coloured plastic in circular perspex cases, lit from behind.
