Braille Rail
Maggie Rose with the RNIB

The Braille Rail is made of rich coloured, polished wood with the grain showing, and is about a metre and a half long. It is rounded on the top and flat underneath, and the braille words are carved across the top. The rail is reminiscent both of a standard hand rail, and of the 'barre' which is used in ballet classes.
