Steve Harrison
Steve Harrison makes ceramic vessels
that are stunningly simple and elegantly functional.
His tableware for adorn, equip adapts these qualities
to create dishes and cups that especially easy to hold
and use.
Steve writes about them:

the characteristics associated with the issues
addressed within adorn, equip”
Bottle with huge stoppers is easy to open
and hold.
Steve’s use of oversized stoppers adds to their appeal
if the stoppers were in proportion,
then the vessels would look less interesting.
Steve thinks they make the bottle look more unexpected,
like a piece of sculpture.
Steve Harrison is a leading ceramist working mainly
in salt glaze.
This technique adds salt to the glaze creating a highly attractive surface quality.
Steve graduated from the Royal College of Art.
