Agoraphobic’s Handbag & Mrs Patel’s Sari
Susie Freeman Collaborating With Liz Lee
with Mrs Patel and Helen Bridges

Mrs Patel's Sari and the Agoraphobic's Handbag are both constructed of two layers of black mesh, between which are sewn horizontal rows of different capsules and tablets which form brightly coloured patterns. In the case of the sari, the medication is the same as the medication which Mrs Patel takes daily for her hip, and in the case of the handbag, the medication which Helen Bridges takes daily for her agoraphobia. At the foot of the sari is an example of the artificial hip joint which Mrs Patel uses, made of shiny silver metal. The handbag is square, with black fake fur around the top, and two black handles which are about two-thirds of the height of the handbag.
